Chojo is a Korean jindo that Amy has had since he was a puppy. His health
has been failing for over a year and has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.
Bradford texted me this afternoon that they had decided to put Chojo to sleep
tomorrow. I stopped at their apartment on the way home from work and spent
the evening with them. Joyce came there from Nashua as well. These are pictures
of our last evening with Chojo. Below is a quote from Amy's Facebook page about Chojo. "The shortened version: he's a purebred Korean jindo, flown here from Seoul. We don't know too much about his breed since it's rare here in the US. The doctor said he has a neurological degenerative condition, and the correct term is "paraparetic." He's been a complete champ this past year since his diagnosis. This last month, there was a drastic decline and we carry him all the time, like this. This is how I've been drinking my coffee – one arm holding, the other occasionally free to reach the mug." |
