[stanford_status] CT Scan scheduled for Friday, Oct 20th, at 7:00 AM

Hello Everyone,

Stanford will return to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, NH, for  CT scans this 
Friday, October 20th.  Joyce and Stanford will drive there for a 7:00 AM appointment.  Since the 
appointment is early in the morning it may be possible to get the results while they are still there.  

Stanford stopped taking Zofran for anti-nausea Saturday at midnight, about 36 hours after the 
chemotherapy ended.  He reports that the nausea quickly went away.  Also he no longer has any ill 
effects from eating dairy products.  This had been an issue starting that Tuesday (Sept 26) when the pain 
in his right side got very high.  He can eat pretty much anything now with no ill effects and his appetite 
has increased.  We are anxious and hopeful for an expected good report from the next CT scans.

As many of you know, we are active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also 
called Mormons.  A few weeks ago our Bishop scheduled a special fast for October 20th in Stanford's 
behalf.  It turns out now that this will be on the day of Stanford's CT scans.  Members of our ward 
(congregation) will be fasting for 24 hours as a demonstration to God of faith in His power and ability to 
heal Stanford.  We invite all who would like to to join with us in this fast.
