Hello Everyone,
Time is a strange thing. Sometimes it passes very slowly. At other
times it passes quickly. We have been going through a lot of
"Remember one year ago today..." experiences these past months.
However, the most profound moment, next only to Stanford's actual
passing, was a year ago on Tuesday, Nov 21, 2006. It is hard to
grasp that a year has already gone by.
November 21st is the day that Stanford started suffering lots of
pain in the early morning hours. He was told to go to the emergency
room where a CT scan showed lots of internal bleeding. There was no
way to stop it. The doctors told me he was going to die and I had
to tell Stanford. Because of his great faith and his sincere prayer
that morning, God gave Stanford 9 more weeks.
November 21st was the beginning of a wonderful period of love,
caring, support, concern, and friendship from so many people. We
all came together and are better for it. We miss Stanford very
much. Pictures and memories are wonderful. Thanks to all of you
who cared so much. We will always remember it.
May you all have a wonderful Holiday season. Remember to tell your
friends and family how much you care for them. Each day is a
blessing and an opportunity to show gratitude and love.
John
