Hello Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about three events:
   - Dedication of Granite Bench
   - Stanford Mark Larsen Memorial Scholarship Fund
   - Blood drive in memory of Stanford


DEDICATION OF GRANITE BENCH:

This Wednesday evening, June 3, 2009, at 6:00 PM a granite bench will be 
dedicated in memory of Stanford at Nashua High School South.  There will be 
a short program.  The NHSS Concert Choir will be performing two songs and a 
chamber group from the NHSS Concert Band will play a number.  The bench 
will be located near the main entrance to the school.  The following is 
engraved on the bench:

          Stanford Mark Larsen
      Aug. 5, 1988 - Jan. 23, 2007
      He will always be "Stantastic"


STANFORD MARK LARSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND:

Thanks to the generous contributions from many individuals the scholarship 
fund has finally reached the $10k threshold.  It can now become a perpetual 
fund.  A $500 scholarship will be awarded this month on Wednesday, June 
17th, at the NHSS Scholarship Awards Night.  This is the third time the 
scholarship has been awarded. (http://StanfordLarsen.org/scholarship)

A $10k fund can provide about a $250 award annually.  We currently make up 
the difference to get the award to $500.  We hope that the fund will 
continue to grow through generous contributions so that the size of the 
annual award can grow.


BLOOD DRIVE:

A blood drive will be held Friday, Aug 28, 2009, from 2PM to 7PM in 
Stanford's memory.  This will be at the same church as the blood drive in 
2007 (http://StanfordLarsen.org/blood_drive).


Three years ago Stanford was getting ready to graduate from high school 
just like his brother Phillip is this year.  Life has a way of throwing 
curve balls at us.  Catching them helps us to grow.
