This was a very long day. It ended about 3:00 AM Sunday morning, July
25th. Lots of sweating pipes. The last thing we did was cut into the
main water supply for cold and also into the hot water line. The main
valve to the house doesn't drip, but it also doesn't shut off completely.
I actually taught Chris a trick to get around this problem. If there is
water in a pipe there is no way to get it hot enough to solder. The trick
I learned somewhere is to shove some white bread into the pipe. That
blocks the water long enough to solder the joint. Once pressure is
restored the break just busts up and flushes through. We were able to
use that trick and get the fittings all done. When pressure was restored
there was only one leak. It was a fitting that hadn't been soldered yet.
That was taken care of in short order and then everything was nice and
      tight. Chris does good work.
