It's Columbus Day, so what do we do? We go to "King Richard's Faire!"
We've done this for three years in a row now. This year our group was
much smaller. The Wilsons have moved to New Mexico. Phillip is at the
Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, preparing for his mission
to Brazil. That left just John, Joyce, Heather, Julia, and Rachel to
go this year. It is exactly 90.0 miles from our driveway to the parking spot at the faire. I didn't take any pictures of the joust or the tiger show. Look at last year's pictures to see what it is like, because it was pretty much exactly the same. The fire juggler that is so entertaining wasn't there this year (Pablo Garbonzo), and that was a shame, because he is really funny. To finish off the day we stopped at the same "Old Country Buffet" off exit 18A on Route 24 North. This is where we ate last year. The strange thing is that there were some sugar packets with "Home Town Buffet" on them. That's the chain that the Wilsons liked a lot when they lived in Alabama. |
