Kevin Lund and I were best friends from 9th grade on. We had the exact
same class schedule in 9th grade for the whole year. We ended up
spending tons of time together. I was constantly at his house. We
worked the same part time jobs after school. We did everything
together. Kevin and Brenda got married in July 1979 and I was the
best man at his wedding. Joyce and I got married in September 1979 and
Kevin was the best man at my wedding. In the early 80s Kevin and Brenda moved to the west coast. Since that time we haven't had much contact. When Joyce and I went to Utah in 2005 to bring Heather home after BYU graduation we had a chance meeting in Murray. Kevin and Brenda happened to be in town for some other family function. We arranged to meet at the Olive Garden at the Fashion Place Mall in Murray, Utah. That was the first time we had seen each other since the early 80s. Since then, Kevin and Brenda have moved from the west coast to the east coast and live in Maryland. At one point a trip had been planned where they would come up to Nashua. Just before the trip Kevin's father passed away and the trip was canceled. Kevin works for Boeing and it turns out that Boeing has a contract with BAE Systems here in Nashua. Kevin flew up on a Wednesday and he and I went to Red Robin at the Pheasant Lane Mall that evening. His meeting was held in Hudson on Thursday. In the evening we all went to the Pine Street Eatery. It was a fun time catching up. Hopefully we can arrange some way to get together again. |
