After months of design work and looking at various options we finally narrowed it down to Design 36.
The architect, Steve Maulin, came to the house with Rich on Aug 4, 2023, to look at the job. I gave
them both printouts of Design 36v2. Steve said he didn't even need to come into the house since I had
done such a detailed drawing of the existing house and the proposed design. Steve worked on the drawing package. Rich came to the house Oct 4, 2023, with the preliminary foundation drawing. There were several issues with it that we corrected. Steve brought an updated 1st floor plan on Oct 12, 2023. Rich cam by Oct 16, 2023, and we reviewed Steve's drawing and all the issues I had found. There were several changes made along the way. These were folded into Design 36v4. On Nov 22, 2023, Rich brought over the 17 page design package that Steve had produced. I carefully reviewed the drawings. Rich came by Nov 28, 2023, and we went over all the issues I had found. On Dec 30, 2023, Rich came to the house with the final drawing package. I gave Rich a check for $1700 to pay for the design package. Below are jpegs of the final design. The PDF is the final 17 page design package. Floor plans of the current house are shown and of the final house after the project is done. I also included to 3D renderings of the proposed design. It is currently at Design 36v6 as of May 18, 2024, when I'm writing this summary. Last October I did all the calculations to triangulate on the foundation points. Since then the dimensions changed some. I recalculated the triangulation points this spring so I could put markers in the yard showing where everything was located. That drawing is at the end. |
