Day 24: Julia's room has remained untouched for the most part since she
graduated from high school in 2014, so 10 years! It's time for that
to change. I'll be moving my office from the basement into her old
bedroom. Before touching anything I took pictures of the room so
we can remember how it was. I think this is the most difficult room in the house to pack up because it will mostly be packed away permanently. Today I started with the shelf above the door. This is all things that belonged to Stanford when he shared this room with Phillip. After Stanford died in 2007 from cancer we swapped rooms around putting Julia in this room and Phillip in the smaller bedroom. Stanford's items on this shelf have been there since 2007 and had collected a lot of dust. I spent several hours today carefully vacuuming off each item and then carefully packing them into boxes. I think this room is going to take a long time to pack up! |
