Day 74: Several activities were going on in parallel today. The framing
crew got the roof all done as much as they could. They can't connect the
new roof over the addition to the existing house until the old roof is
removed. Due to weather concerns that won't happen until next week. After
working on the roof the framers started in on the sun room. That was
hard work. They had to dig by hand the holes for the sonotubes, which
took several hours. They did a lot of prep work getting ready to build
the sun room tomorrow. The electricians came today to clean up the wiring in the living room and kitchen areas. The ceilings came out last week exposing the wiring. The electricians spent several hours pulling wires out of the way so that the new roof can go in next week. Almost all the remaining cedar siding was removed getting ready for window replacement and new siding coming in the near future. I was at work today and got home about 3:00 PM. The south camera didn't pick up much useful activity at all. I sped that up with my video editor so it goes faster. On July 8th I put the north camera on a different tree so that it had a better view. It picked up a lot of the activity with the roof, but the sun room activity is harder to see because the camera is farther away. You can't see much detail. When I got home from work I set up a cell phone camera on a tripod in a better location to capture their work. The last part of the north camera video has that merged in giving a much better view of what was going on. |
