Day 142: On Sept 17th of the home renovation project Rich and Kevin are getting
things ready for drywall installation. I made a change to the basement stairs.
I had Rich remove the small wall on the left at the bottom of the stairs. My
original design didn't have this wall because I wanted the basement to have as
open a feel as possible. This wall would have closed things off. You can see
in the two pictures below the before and after. It will cost more because more
oak will be needed on the stairs, but I felt it was worth it. Drywall installtion begins Thursday morning. Rich went around marking on the floor every stud, outlet, switch, socket, and light. This is important so they can more easily be found after drywall is in place. |
