Day 169: On Oct 14th of the home improvement project
a laser based tool was used to precisely measure
the size and shape of the quartz countertops for the kitchen.
The tool is mounted on a heavy tripod and attached to a tablet. The
laser head projects a dot which the operator positions at various
points outlining where the countertop will be.
The operator taps the tablet to capture the position data.
Multiple points are used to input the shape. There are four
countertops in the kitchen. Also today a lot of electrical work was done, especially everything impacted by the attic above the original house. Spray foam insulation is being applied in two days so it was important to get all the wiring done in the attic. The electricians will be back tomorrow to finish up any loose ends. |
