Day 180: Wow! Oct 25th of the home improvement project marks 180 days
since we signed the contract. It feels like more than six months has gone
by. We're approaching the end and lots of detail work is getting done.
The basement stairs are really taking shape and looking nice. The railings
need to be done next. The shower pan was installed in the main floor bathroom
so that flooring can be put in there. Flooring was put in the hallway, Joyce's
"Room of Requirement" and started in my office. Public service announcement: Only two months until Christmas! The goal is still to have the main floor all done before Thanksgiving. We're pushing the basement off until January. That will give us time to move out of the basement into the newly finished main floor and arrange everything. That will take some time. I keep remembering that 20 foot POD down the driveway hill on the street that is packed full top to bottom and front to back. Maybe we can get some help emptying that when the time comes? |
