Day 277: On Jan 30 (and 31st) of the home improvement project
the basement was insulated. First Kevin did a little rework
so we can use the space under the stairs for storage. Then
Phil and Rich returned with all the insulation. Rich and Kevin
left to work on Rich's other project and Phil stayed behind to
do all the insulation installation. He didn't get quite done by
the end of the day so he came back on the 31st for a couple hours
to finish up. The basement temperature had been right around 59 degrees. Now with insulation installed it sits between 64 and 66 degrees. The insulation has made a big difference! Next up is drywall installation. That should start Monday of next week. |
