Day 291: On Feb 13th of the home improvement project we had
snow during the night. It was only about 2 inches, but for
some reason it was enough for school districts in the area to
declare a snow day. It took me about 70 minutes to clean up
all the areas. I had to clear a path to the bulkhead door in
the back so the workers have access to the basement. It started
raining about 20 minutes after I started shoveling. I was
soaked by the time I finished up the job. A bigger storm is
predicted for this Saturday into Sunday, kind of a repeat of
last weekend. Believe it or not, I enjoy shoveling snow. In 1999 I herniated my L5-S1 disk. I was unable to do much of anything. I could barely walk. It took almost three years for the chronic pain to finally go away. It took a couple more years after that to get to where I was strong enough to do most everything. So, I enjoy shoveling snow! What a blessing to have the health and strength to do that! |
