2025 11 26 - Repairing gas dryer

HOME
A couple of days ago Joyce came into my office to inform me that the clothes dryer was running, but there was no heat. That started the adventure of trying to repair our 20 year old Kenmore dryer. I was stymied at first, but after an afternoon walk I had a plan of attack. The problem turned out to be a blown thermal fuse. An Amazon search found one for only $4.12, which is a much better deal than buying a new dryer for around $700. I was able to repair the dryer! I guess my electrical engineering degree came in handy today.
